Member Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal has inspected the ongoing work of the Parsowal-Bassi Kalan-Chak Sadhu to Bheruan road to be laid and widened at a cost of Rs. 2.50 crore.
Taking stock of road work, MP Chabbewal, along with MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar, said that all the major roads of the constituency would be widened to 18 feet from existing 10 feet so as to facilitate villagers with better and easy transportation. He said once the work on this road accomplished the residents of several villages would get seamless and easy road transportation.
Member Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said that the construction work of this six km long road is underway at war footing which will be completed shortly. He also interacted with the residents on the spot to review other ongoing development works in the area and assured that all required facilities would be ensured.
Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal said the work on Chabbewal-Bajrawar-Patti-Sasoli to Sina link road would be completed at a cost of Rs. 4 crore and the road would be made of 18 feet to provide comfortable and convenient movement.
Apart from this, the 13.06 km road from Hoshiarpur-Phagwara Road to Purhiran-Atalgarh-Mehmowal-Falahi-Harmoya via Tajowal Hukkaran is being widened and strengthened at a cost of Rs 5.10 crore.
Likewise, the 3.72 km road from Mahilpur to Jhanjowal via Kaharpur is to be widened from 10 feet to 18 feet at a cost of about Rs 2.31 crore, on which the stone laying work has been completed.
He also stated that the Mahilpur-Jaijon Road-Rampur to Fatehpur-Kangar Kothi-Gangowal is also to be widened from 10 feet to 18 feet. He said that this 6.47 km long road will be constructed at a cost of about Rs 4.23 crore.
On this occasion, MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann was making all out efforts to strengthen road network as part of the same Chabbewal is getting the roads further strengthened and widened.
He said the roads would be made as as per the need of the hour so the present volume of vehicular movement could be facilitated. He said the most of the roads connecting the villages of the constituency to the main roads are being widened to 18 feet.
