AISSF urges Akal Takht to summon political leaders with links to Dera Sirsa

Amritsar, 6 September, 2024 (Yes Punjab News)

All India Sikh Students Federation Patron Bhai Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad and President Advocate Parminder Singh Dhingra have addressed a letter to Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, the paramount seat of Sikhism, expressing apprehensions regarding politicians Viz., former Chief Ministers Capt.

Amarinder Singh and Bibi Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, as well as current Congress Chief and MP Ludhiana Raja Warring and Senior Congress leader and MP from Fatehgarh Sahib Dr. Amar Singh, who are accused of seeking support from Dera Sirsa Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

The correspondence also implicates former Punjab ministers Darshan Singh Brar, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Gurpreet Singh Kangar, Kaka Randeep Singh Nabha, along with ex-Deputy Speaker Ajaib Singh Bhatti.

Additionally, Congress Ex-MLAs like Kushaldeep Singh Kiki Dhillon, Kewal Singh Dhillon, Karan Kaur Brar, Ajitinder Singh Moffar, Harminder Singh Gill, Jeet Mohinder Sidhu, Congress leaders Rahul Singh Sidhu, and Daaman Thind Bajwa, now associated with BJP, are accused of receiving backing from Dera Sirsa and deceiving the Sikh community.

AISSF’s urgent plea to Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh emphasizes the critical need to investigate senior leaders and influential personalities involved in deceptive activities under the guise of Sikhism linked to Dera Sirsa and self-styled chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

The federation advocates for these accused leaders—irrespective of their political affiliations—to be summoned to Sri Akal Takht Sahib, in accordance with Sikh (Rehat Maryada) sikh principles, demanding transparency and accountability for their actions.

In pursuit of justice and adherence to Sikh principles, AISSF urges Sri Akal Takht Sahib’s Jathedar to take decisive action against the individuals who have allegedly misled the Sikh community by associating with Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

The decision rests with Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh to determine the appropriate course of action against those who have allegedly betrayed the Sikh community’s trust by aligning with Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim.
