After the immense success of the first edition, Initiators of Change organised the second edition of Speaking Minds Youth Conclave 2019 which was inaugurated at Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan, Ludhiana on August 2. The conclave is the the biggest youth conclave organized in the state of Punjab which brought 2000 youngsters from all over Punjab to interact with some of the finest minds of the country on various Social, entertainment and Political Issues.
The day 1 started with the session titled “Against All odds” started. The speakers were Mr. Arun Kushwah (Chotte Miaan) and Miss. Laxmi Agarwal (Acid Attack Survivor). Laxmi Aggarwal shared her life story with the youngsters and motivated them to fight against all odds to become successful in life.
Laxmi Agarwal said that she had faced several odds in life and once decided to commit suicide. But later she changed her mind and desired to bring change in society by supporting equality for women. She said that she has filed PIL in Supreme Court on which the court has prohibited the open sale of acid. She said that despite facing several odds she is living happy and love her life.
Arun Kushwah who is popularly known as Chotte Mian said that till the age of 8 he was depressed due to his short height but later he ignored the comments of people and started working hard. He left job in Multi National Company and started writing stories for web channel and acting and now he is followed by millions of people.
The second session was Innovative entrepreneurships and start ups in which motivational speaker Supriya Paul (Josh Talks), Milind Kwatra, young entrepreneur Hum Hain) and Mr. Vilas Shinde (Dabbawalas Mumbai) who successfully runs Tiffin delivery services motivated the youngsters to start their own business and become successful.
The speakers told youngsters that with innovation, hard work and dedication one can become successful entrepreneur and there is no need to depend on heavy investment to start business. The youngsters also interacted with the speakers.
The third session was Youth and Future of Indian Politics which was presided by Mr. Madhukeshwar of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha, Mr. Gautam Seth of Indian National Congress and Mr. Raghav Chadha of Aam Aadmi Party. The speakers motivated youngsters to take part in active politics, democratic system rather than blaming the system and politicians for everything.
Founder of initiators of change and organiser of youth Conclave, Gouravdeep Singh said that with a vision to create young energetic leaders for the society which are socially and politically aware the youth conclave was organised in Ludhiana.
Gouravdeep Singh added that the in next two days, Indian Hockey Team Captain Sandeep Singh, PU student union President kanupriya, IAS officer Apneet Riyaat, among several top personalities will interact with the youngsters.
