Chandigarh MP Manish Tewari inaugurates Annual Games organized by ‘Institute for the Blind’

Chandigarh MP Manish Tewari today said that sports make us mentally and physically strong.

He was addressing a function after inaugurating the annual games organized by the Institute for the Blind at the Sports Complex in Sector-7 today.

Students of different age groups participated in these games organized under the aegis of Society for the Care of Blind and showcased their sporting talent.

Tewari said that sports give us physical and mental strength. He appreciated the arrangements made by the organizers and specially encouraged the players who participated in the various competitions after overcoming the challenges.

He said that behind a player’s performance on the field is his hard work and dedication, which is not possible without the support of parents and coaches.

Meanwhile, he also reiterated his commitment to promote sports.

Chandigarh Congress president HS Lucky, who was the special guest on the occasion, said that today’s children are the future of the country and their strength is the strength of the country.

Earlier, the games started with the national anthem.

Chairman of the Institute for the Blind Dinesh Kumar Kapila and other members of the organizing committee also presented plaques to MP Tewari and HS Lucky.
Apart from others, Saparna Sachdeva, Pawan Dewan were also present.
