The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab has expanded its ‘Mann De Munaffe’ door-to-door outreach across the state, with MLAs and constituency in-charges presenting the Bhagwant Mann government’s four-and-a-half-year report card and highlighting welfare schemes and services that the party says have reduced household expenses. The campaign is part of AAP’s outreach ahead of the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
Party leaders visited villages and wards in several constituencies, including Bhoa, Phagwara, Ferozepur Rural, Gill, Guru Har Sahai, Kartarpur, Nawanshahr, Dera Bassi, Sanaur and Faridkot.
Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak, campaigning in Bahadurpur village of Bhoa, said the initiative was focused on explaining the financial impact of schemes such as free electricity, Aam Aadmi Clinics and improvements in education. He claimed that the combined benefits of government schemes were providing families with substantial annual financial relief.
In Phagwara, AAP MP Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal said the campaign was receiving a strong response in urban and rural areas and highlighted the government’s work in health and education.
MLAs Rajnish Dahiya, Jeevan Singh Sangowal and Balkar Singh also spoke about welfare measures, including free electricity and healthcare services, while interacting with residents in their respective constituencies.
Fauja Singh Sarari, campaigning in Chak Swah Wala in Guru Har Sahai, described the initiative as an account of changes during the government’s four-and-a-half-year tenure rather than an ordinary election campaign.
Other AAP leaders, including constituency in-charge Jaspreet Singh Robby Kang and MLAs Kuljit Singh Randhawa, Ranjodh Singh Hadana and Gurdit Singh Sekhon, highlighted government schemes and claimed that the public response reflected support for the administration’s work.
Sekhon, during outreach in Machaki Kalan, said the response showed people wanted the Bhagwant Mann government to return in 2027.
AAP launched the wider door-to-door campaign earlier this month, placing household savings and the government’s welfare record at the centre of its campaign narrative ahead of the 2027 Assembly polls.
