Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to 12 newly recruited clerks who will be posted at various Treasury Offices across the state, in a move aimed at strengthening the state’s financial administration and improving public service delivery.
Congratulating the newly appointed employees, Cheema welcomed them into government service and wished them a successful and fulfilling professional career.
Addressing the new recruits, the Finance Minister said government service carries a significant responsibility towards the public. He urged the clerks to perform their duties with honesty, dedication and a strong sense of public responsibility.
Highlighting the importance of Treasury Offices in the state’s financial administration, Cheema said these offices form a crucial part of the government’s financial management system. He stressed the need for greater efficiency and transparency in treasury operations and called upon the newly recruited employees to uphold these principles.
Cheema said the induction of 12 new clerks would strengthen the workforce in Treasury Offices and help make their functioning more efficient. The additional manpower, he added, would contribute to faster processing of financial and administrative work and facilitate timely delivery of essential public services.
The Finance Minister further said the day-to-day work of government employees plays an important role in ensuring that welfare schemes and development-oriented policies reach people across Punjab.
He urged the newly appointed clerks to work with commitment and dedication so that the Punjab Government’s public welfare initiatives are effectively implemented and their benefits reach people across the state.
