Innocent Hearts School, Green Model Town, successfully hosted the Jalandhar Sahodaya Slogan Spark Contest, “Think! Write! Inspire!”, providing school students with a platform to showcase their creativity, originality and ability to express ideas through impactful slogans.
The contest witnessed participation from 103 students representing 53 schools. The competition was conducted in two categories, with Category I for Classes IX-X and Category II for Classes XI-XII.
The participating students presented thought-provoking slogans reflecting their imagination, awareness and creative abilities. The entries were assessed by two judges — Mrs Guranjan Pal, retired Head of the Fine Arts Department at B.D. Arya College, and Ms Ranjana Arora, an experienced academician and Assistant Professor of English who has served at Hindu Kanya College, Kapurthala; College of Engineering and Management, Kapurthala; and I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Main Campus, Kapurthala.
In Category I, Anmol of Swami Sant Dass Public School secured first position, followed by Diya of Dayanand Model School in second place and Yuvraj Sharma of Shiv Jyoti Public School in third. Jagritti Sharma of Sanskriti KMV School received the consolation prize.
In Category II, Alisha of DIPS School won first position, while Hiya Goel of Woodland Overseas School stood second and Aishleena of Swami Sant Dass Public School, Phagwara, secured third place. Harshita Gupta of CT Public School received the consolation prize.
The judges appreciated the participants for their creativity, originality, clarity of thought and effective presentation. The contest encouraged students to communicate meaningful ideas through concise and powerful slogans.
Principal Rajeev Paliwal and Head of the Fine Arts Department Mrs Mona Gilhotra felicitated the winners and presented prizes to the achievers. They also honoured the judges with tokens of gratitude for their contribution to the event.
The successful competition reflected Jalandhar Sahodaya’s emphasis on healthy competition, creative expression and collaborative learning among students.
