Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal has expanded the core committee of the Youth Akali Dal and announced 20 district presidents after consultations with Youth Wing president Sarabjit Singh Jhinjer.
The appointments were announced by SAD senior vice-president and secretary Dr Daljit Singh Cheema from the party headquarters on Monday.
Eleven young leaders have been inducted into the Youth Akali Dal core committee. They are Lovepreet Singh Lappi Einakhera, Harman Singh Khote, Vipandeep Singh Sunny, Davinderpal Singh Sidhu, Amandeep Singh Ghagga, Harwinder Singh Jogipur, Prince Tung Nabha, Akashdeep Singh Bhathal, Malkit Singh Cheema, Sukhbir Singh Sokhi and Sehaj Singh Makkar.
The party has also appointed district presidents across 20 organisational units of the Youth Akali Dal.
The new district presidents are Kamaldeep Singh for Bathinda Rural, Randeep Singh Dhillon for Barnala Rural, Ravinder Singh Babbl for Faridkot, Advocate Chittvir Singh Jira for Ferozepur Rural, Amritveer Singh for Jalandhar Urban-1, Gagandeep Singh Gaggi for Jalandhar Urban-2, Avtar Singh Nijjar for Jalandhar Rural-1, Kuldeep Singh Tandi for Kapurthala Rural, Tanveer Singh Randhawa for Kapurthala Urban, Balkaran Singh Bajwa for Ludhiana Rural, Harmandeep Singh Ricky Ajnaur for Police District Khanna, Navjinder Singh Mann for Sri Muktsar Sahib, Dev Ashish Malik for Moga Urban, Harjot Singh Demru for Moga Rural, Tanveer Singh Poonia for Mohali Rural-1, Jaspal Singh Lucky Mavi for Mohali Rural-2, Advocate Sukhbir Singh Gill for Mohali Urban (Corporation), Karanveer Singh Sahni for Patiala Urban, Amritpal Singh Lang for Patiala Rural and Charanjit Singh Bharouli for Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar.
The appointments are aimed at further strengthening the Youth Akali Dal’s organisational structure across Punjab.
