The Punjab unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched its official WhatsApp channel as part of its efforts to strengthen digital engagement and establish a direct communication channel with people across the state.
Punjab BJP State President Kewal Singh Dhillon launched the channel at a special programme attended by party’s Punjab in-charge Narinder Singh Raina, General Secretary (Organisation) Manthrii Srinivasulu and Social Media Convenor Ajay Arora.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhillon welcomed the initiative and said the WhatsApp channel would allow people to remain directly connected with the party’s activities through their mobile phones. He said the platform would provide regular updates on the BJP’s daily programmes, organisational decisions and public welfare schemes of the Central government.
Dhillon said the initiative was aimed at making information about the party’s activities more accessible to people and workers. He appealed to residents and BJP workers across Punjab to join the channel in large numbers.
He said increased digital engagement would help strengthen the party’s organisational network while enabling it to communicate more effectively with the people of Punjab.
Dhillon added that the BJP remained committed to working towards taking Punjab on the path of progress and development, with greater public participation and stronger digital connectivity playing an important role in this effort.
