On the occasion of the 650th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, programs including discussions on Guru Ravidas Ji’s bani (hymns) and life, various events, and Nagar Kirtan processions are being organized across the country and the world by different organizations and congregations.
In this context, devotees of Guru Ravidas Ji in Punjab have decided to organize seminars under the banner of ‘Bani Vichar Chetna Manch’ throughout Punjab to discuss the academic and spiritual aspects related to Guru Ravidas Ji.
Providing information in this regard, Balwinder Singh Jatiwal, Patron of Bani Vichar Chetna Manch and former General Manager, Milkfed Punjab, stated that these seminars will be held in various districts of Punjab.
As part of this series, the first seminar is being organized in Ludhiana on 22 March from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Student Centre, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU).
This seminar will be entirely based on the bani of Guru Ravidas Ji recorded in Sri Guru Granth Sahib and His life. It has been decided that in the first seminar in Ludhiana, two main papers will be presented to initiate the discussion, and two shorter papers will also be read to conclude the discussion. In addition, there will be a question-answer session.
During the seminar, papers will be presented by Dr. Kamaljit Singh Delhi (University of Delhi) and Dr. Gurmeet Singh Kularmajri (renowned Dalit scholar and former Principal).
The chief guest of the seminar will be Dr. Surjit Singh (General Manager, Cattle Feed Verka Plant, Khanna), and the special guest will be Daljit Singh (General Manager, Verka Milk Plant, Ludhiana). People from every religion and every caste are welcome to attend this seminar to listen to the valuable ideas to be presented.
Those present while sharing the information included Gurnam Singh Akida Patiala, Som Nath Choudhary Patiala, former Sarpanch Bhinder Singh Ratnaheri Khanna, renowned Dalit thinker Prof. Dr. Gurmeet Kular Majri, Swarn Singh PAU Ludhiana, Balbir Singh Khalsa Ludhiana, Jasvir Singh Pamali, former President of SC BC Teachers Union Punjab Baljit Singh Salana, among others.
