Om continuation to the state-wide campaign “Yudh Nashian Virudh” launched by the Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann and the Director General of Police, Punjab Gaurav Yadav, IPS, District SAS Nagar Police has achieved a major breakthrough by taking stringent action against a habitual drug peddler in the Lalru area.
Acting on the directions of Harmandeep Singh Hans, SSP SAS Nagar, and Manpreet Singh, SP Rural, SAS Nagar, under the close supervision of Bikramjit Singh Brar, SP Dera Bassi, the police demolished an illegal property belonging to Lakhan Kumar @ Lakhan s/o Tak Chand, resident near Vikas Petrol Pump, Lalru. The property was located near Vikas Petrol Pump, Dheha Basti, Lalru.
The demolition was carried out on 20-02-2026 by the Municipal Council, Lalru. Teams led by Inspector Ranvir Singh, SHO Lalru, and SI Gurvinder Singh, I/c PP Nahar, were present on the spot during the demolition proceedings to ensure law and order.
The accused is involved in multiple criminal cases. A total of 07 FIRs have been registered against him under various sections of the IPC, NDPS Act, Prevention Act, and Excise Act. The details are as follows:
