In its continued efforts to deliver well-planned residential facilities and modern civic infrastructure to the people, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Punjab, through the Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA), is actively advancing key urban development projects.
On the directions of Cabinet Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and MLA Nakodar Inderjit Kaur Mann, and under the guidance of the Chief Administrator Sandeep Kumar, the work of laying a rising main from the existing Sewage Treatment Plant in District Jalandhar to Kot Badal Khan has been awarded.
This major infrastructure project, with an estimated cost of Rs 571.65 lakh will be executed using high-quality materials and modern engineering techniques. The new rising main will significantly strengthen the sewage management system and upgrade the overall drainage infrastructure in the region.
Once completed, the project will provide long-awaited relief to the residents of the Nurmahal area, who have been facing persistent sewerage issues for many years. Improved sewerage facilities will contribute to better public health, sanitation, and overall quality of life in the locality.
