Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab’s Chief Spokesperson and MLA from Ajnala constituency, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, termed the statement of former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Rajinder Kaur Bhattal regarding bomb blasts as extremely serious, saying that it has exposed the true character of the Congress.
He demanded that Madam Bhattal must disclose who those people were who wanted to push Punjab into the furnace of fire.
MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that Bibi Bhattal’s statement reveals the betrayals committed by the Congress against Punjab. He said that Bhattal herself admitted that some officers and leaders had advised her to get bomb blasts carried out in buses and trains to form the government again. Dhaliwal said that this revelation proves that, for the sake of power, the Congress did not hesitate to get people killed, incite violence, and worsen the situation.
The AAP leader said that this is not the first such revelation. Earlier, Captain Amarinder Singh had also stated that youths were made to surrender before the police and were subsequently killed. Similarly, Pratap Bajwa has also spoken about 32 bombs. Dhaliwal said that gradually the truth is coming out about how big a role the Congress played in ruining Punjab.
MLA Dhaliwal requested Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to get this statement investigated and ascertain which political leaders and officers were involved in pushing Punjab into the furnace of fire. He said that thousands of families lost their members, blasts took place at public squares, innocent passersby were killed, those responsible for all this must be identified.
Dhaliwal appealed to all Punjabis to take Bhattal’s statement seriously and to think deeply about what has happened to Punjab from 1980 till now. He said, “These people remained brokers of Punjab’s destruction and kept trading dead bodies for political gains.”
