Haryana State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Sirsa Unit, carried out a significant operation today and arrested Himanshu Arora, Data Entry Operator, Municipal Council Fatehabad, red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹60,000 from the complainant.
According to the complaint received by the Bureau, the accused had demanded a bribe of ₹60,000 for clearing a pending bill of approximately ₹1.50 lakh.
After verification of the complaint, the team of the State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Sirsa, conducted a raid and apprehended the accused on the spot while he was accepting the bribe amount. The entire operation was conducted transparently in the presence of witnesses. The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is underway as per due procedure.
The Bureau Chief, Ajay Singhal, stated that under the State Government’s “Zero Tolerance” policy against corruption, such strict actions will continue regularly. He emphasized that no instance of bribery or corruption by any government officer or employee will be tolerated under any circumstances.
He also appealed to the public that if any government official or employee demands a bribe in exchange for official work, they should immediately inform the Haryana State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau on the toll-free numbers 1800-180-2022 or 1064. The identity of the complainant will be kept completely confidential.
