57 Qualify Punjab Police Written Exam High-Level Training Provided by Sabar Foundation in Collaboration with Labasna IAS Academy Chandigarh, January 19, 2024 – A proud moment for Punjab as 57 youths have successfully qualified for the subordinate-level written exam for Punjab Police positions.
Additionally, one individual has been appointed as an Agricultural Development Officer (ADO), a Class 1 officer role, and another as a Jail Warden. The tuition fees for all these students were entirely funded by Khalsa Aid, while Sabar Foundation provided the necessary books and study materials.
Launched in 2023 under the project Foundation Punjab, the initiative aimed to support promising students who could not afford to prepare for competitive exams due to financial constraints.
On this occasion, Khalsa Aid founder Bhai Ravi Singh congratulated the Khalsa Aid India team managing the Focus Punjab education project, along with Foundation Punjab and Labasna IAS Academy. He encouraged the youth to become more proactive in pursuing education.
Sharing insights, he mentioned that Khalsa Aid began its services in Punjab in 2009, initiating the Sponsor-a-Child program to fund the education of children from underprivileged families.
Bhai Ravi Singh also connected with Dharampal Singh, the newly appointed ADO, via video call from the UK to personally congratulate him. Khalsa Aid India Operations Lead Bhai Davinderjit Singh stated that seven distinct social welfare projects are running under the Focus Punjab program, with education being a key focus area.
He noted that Khalsa Aid operates Dashmesh Public School in Kakra village, Sangrur district, where students receive high-quality education from highly qualified teachers. Sabar Foundation President Jaspreet Singh Dahiya shared that this project was launched in 2023 with significant support from Khalsa Aid.
Out of 3,691 students who expressed interest, over 1,000 were enrolled based on entrance tests conducted by the Labasna IAS Coaching Academy, one of India’s top institutions. Nearly 150 eligible students received both online and offline coaching for the exams.
Their hard work bore fruit, with 59 students successfully qualifying and two securing officer-level roles. He emphasized that Khalsa Aid covers all financial needs for education, while Sabar Foundation ensures access to study materials.
Labasna IAS Academy played a pivotal role in training students for the exams. Labasna IAS Coaching Academy CEO Jatin Bajaj highlighted the expertise of their faculty, all of whom are highly qualified and experienced in competitive exams.
Weekly mock interviews were conducted by retired IAS and PCS officers. He noted that Labasna is the first IAS coaching center in India to conduct weekly tests nationwide. Students interested in joining the program can apply online via the sabar.org website.
Khalsa Aid Asia Pacific Head S. Gurpreet Singh explained that the objective of initiating UPSC-level training was to prepare students for PPSC and subordinate-level exams within two years. He expressed pride in the accomplishments of these talented youths, proving that Punjab’s youth are capable of excelling as officers.
At a time when many are migrating abroad, these students have set a stellar example by staying in Punjab, advancing their education, and serving their communities. S.
