Our country is becoming more and more political and all political parties ruling and opposition are in the struggle to consolidate their houses, opposition parties are busy in finding strategies to thwart Modi’s all designs for the election and put him down in the 2024 parliamentary elections as Modi has become so powerful he has accumulated all forces of power within him, he has managed the entire electoral system in his favour so that no opposition leaders or party can dare to challenge his political belongings.
The opposition earlier also failed to give a purely united fight to Modi which the opposition loudly cry but the supremacy of their leaders cannot be sacrificed and now they all prepared to be one against Modi in the fight but when the question of the main leader comes things get halted and postponed so only statements of unity of all opposition parties are moving round but lacking the spirit of finalization or complete maturity.
More over, Modi is strong from all corridors of politics in the country he cannot allow the opposition to unite against him he is capable of using any weapon for weakening the opposition. There is no doubt opposition leaders are overexcited in throwing down Modi but who can sacrifice the supremacy of their political strength.
Since the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from the parliament after he was jailed for two years in the defamation case ,there is no doubt all the media including the foreign median terming the Modi graph falling down fast and Modi has become overactive doing rallies in the affected parts and extending facilities for the welfare of the people.
Politics is the only activity or game for all parties now and other aspects of democratic set up like Crime, Price, Rise, speech hatred and communal hatred and spread of social evils, unemployment and increasing trend among the teen youth of committing suicides and there is complete silence towards it even country channels are side swaying it though this is very important for media to raise the issues.
I am touched by the spreading disappointments, frustration and a feeling of not living more and adopting the ghastly ways of ending their life’. It is country’s leaders first and foremost duty to develop the youth in the latest forms of globe but no sincere efforts are being exercised towards this antihuman and antinational activity and the required efforts or skills or plans are not properly carved to guide the youth of teen age and never try to know the ultimate causes for this practice by the students and why so when all heavy projects in the country are developed with heavy amounts and why when this is all treatable and preventable why not to suffice to stop this practice among the teens.
Now, I am mentioning the warning signs why students go for a suicide.
* Deteriorating academic performance
* Depression, dramatic mood changes
* Hopelessness
* Preoccupation with death
* Anxiety or agitation
* Uncontrolled anger or rage
* Engaging in risky activities
* Withdrawing from friends and family
* Neglecting appearance and hygiene
* Increased alcohol or drug use
* Giving away prized possessions
The impact of mental illness is so devastating that suicide is the third leading cause of death among the people ages 15 to 24.
Suicide in Children and Teens
Suicides among young people continue to be a serious problem. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for children, adolescents, and young adults age 15-to-24-year-olds.
The majority of children and adolescents who attempt suicide have a significant mental health disorder, usually depression.
Among younger children, suicide attempts are often impulsive. They may be associated with feelings of sadness, confusion, anger, or problems with attention and hyperactivity.
Among teenagers, suicide attempts may be associated with feelings of stress, self-doubt, pressure to succeed, financial uncertainty, disappointment, and loss. For some teens, suicide may appear to be a solution to their problems.
Depression and suicidal feelings are treatable mental disorders. The child or adolescent needs to have his or her illness recognized and diagnosed, and appropriately treated with a comprehensive treatment plan.
Students are those who study for better future, students are those who acquire knowledge and then make use of it for the purpose of society welfare in various field. Students can be of various ages, background, religion and even a person acquiring knowledge. India is a country with a huge amount of potential coming as the youth and students who are overtaking even adults at work places and growing in every aspect as possible.
This youth is a large number of students from various parts of the country, and are overachieving there limits as teenagers or a college student, but in this large crowd of students there are many who are suffering from depression, anxiety, and trauma as they are facing kinds of problems in there carrier. With circumstances like this they are taking harsh decisions and considering ending their life by committing suicide.
But why do they commit suicide? The answer for this can only come from the household as well as from the educational institutes of India. In India children are going through a mental torture to study hard for their financially stable future, and when they are unable to accomplish the respected goal they lost track and can’t deal with failure which lead them to such suicidal cases.
Student suicide is a very highly important and concerned topic around the country. In the past years there have been a lot of high profiled cases of such which are indicating toward this big issue. According to the reports from the NCRB (National crime record bureau) every hour a student suicide and 28 cases of student suicide are reported every day.
The data given by NCRB states that 10,159 students died by suicide in 2018 with an increase of 9,905 in 2017 and 9,478 in 2016. In India, Maharashtra had the most number of student suicide cases followed by Tamil Nadu and then Madhya Pradesh as per the reports by the NCRB in 2018.
It is estimated that more than 15 students out of 100 are affected by suicides. This article discusses about the factors affection or triggering a student to take such decision, further more suicide prevention, steps taken by the government and the stakeholders, how can we prevent students from taking this steps.
Over 13,000 students took their own lives in India last year, the latest statistics from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB report 2021) shows. In fact, over the five years from 2016 to 2021, the number of student suicides in India has risen by 27%.
The country recorded 9,478 student suicides in 2016 which increased to 10,335 in 2019 and 13,089 in 2021 when it was 8% of all suicide cases. The total number of suicide cases rose by 20% over the same period, from 1,31,008 in 2016 to 1,64,033 in 2021.
The NCRB report titled Accidental Deaths and Suicides in India 2021, released on Monday, shows that most student suicides were reported from Maharashtra and that for over 1,500 suicides among youths under 30 years, the reason was “failure in examination”.
The reports over the years show that the number of suicides rose most sharply, by 7.17%, from 2020 to 2021, when it increased from 1,53,052 to 1,64,033. Over the same period, student suicides witnessed an increase of 4%, from 12,526 to 13,089.
Over 13000 students died by committing suicide according to NCCCRB report in 2021, complete I am firmly of the view that major reason for the suicides among the teens and students is the neglect by the govt when all sources and resources are available, why govt is not taking seriously this side is more important than any political victory as fact as our country real future sheen lies with these young people.
Secondly parents too are responsible for this human flaw they must judge the capacity of the boy. It can be done only if parents are well educated and intelligent enough and resourceful also and no undue pressure on the child be exerted for getting good marks or any position parents must create a ground for the same first and parents also assess the home atmosphere will allow him to study with concentration in all such circumstances if find even small problem with the child that problem must be removed through councilors or other doctors and if there is any type of fear or complex in him first parents must manage to remove that then if the child is in bearing capacity then parents should go ahead parents can seek help from govt also if things are not solved by them but they should not feel about what the people of next door will say about it.
If parents make arrangement for the tuition of the child they must assess the teacher to be engaged if he is capable and brief the teacher also what are the habits of the child also.
Secondly I am sure that teachers are also partly responsible for this evil. Teachers are so selfish they charge very heavy fees for tuition and some parents who are interested in the sheen of the boy but they cannot afford such heavy amount they manage for the sake of their child and teachers donot realize this and if teachers are good they can act as councilors also but sometimes teachers unnecessary blames the boy. This also irritates and brings stress to the boy. So teacher’s role is equally important as of the govt or parents.
Govt must establish the centres for assessing the capacity and capability of the students and also next if they find these things are not to be ignored they are integral part of the development of the child.
Now, I move further to add whatever my thoughts about the true development of the country is that we are the largest democracy of the world though our economic graph in the globe is impressive but yet I say that India’s eighty percent population is under stress due to the unbalanced system of the running the govt. Some businessmen are so rich they are considered richest in the globe and other side there are thirty percent population living below the poverty line whichever the govt ruled so far they never turned their attention towards minimize the gap between have and have nots.
The important factor to be adopted is education and health must be given the best attention to enable the poor and common man to rise and their children may also be benefited out of it and two subjects must be very cheap but sufficient and maximum budget be provided for the two main subjects.
Poor people cannot afford latest education and health system as they do not have means and if education will suffice them in both and this way stress on the parents and children will come down and these two subjects are the pillar of foundations of success but our leaders instead of bringing upbeat in the two system they will give some other concessions and this way, not filling the gap.
What is the harm if poor people rise to the extent that they become tension free to see their children going in the right direction, poor peoples’ children also want to rise as the rich class when no means available to them they develop depression and that goes beyond the treatment and get compelled to commit suicide. I seriously suggest that immunity of their mind must be tested by the psychologists before their adopting any new venture, such methods can save the life of the students, parents and. govt efforts are lacking in such steps to bring the poor upto the right platform.
It is also for the parents to see the child activity if takes so negative and he says I will kill myself and this gives the signal of childs choice so parents must immediately inform the authorities. Do not leave such children alone at home, put them in some humorous activity keep him busy in home affairs. If parents do not have means then donot allow the children to have lofty ambition.
The maximum role to check all such menaces there is need of truly developing govts is the only entity which can help the poor to have the true progress at home and outside also. Sometimes children ambitious for life compel their parents to sell their properties and send them abroad and that is also not a confirmed answer for all this.
