Coming down heavily on the BJP led Government in Uttar Pradesh with Yogi Adityanath at the helm for not allowing Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to meet rape victim’s family and manhandling of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leaders from Punjab have termed it as the murder of democratic values in a most brutal manner.
Cabinet Ministers S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Aruna Chaudhary, Gurpreet Singh Kangar, Balbir Singh Sidhu and Bharat Bhushan Ashu and MLAs Darshan Singh Brar, Kushaldeep Singh Kiki Dhillon, Fatehjang Singh Bajwa, Barindermeet Singh Pahra, Kulbir Singh Zira, Pritam Singh Kotbhai, Kuldeep Singh Vaid, Sanjeev Talwar, Balwinder Singh Laadi and Devinder Singh Ghubaya said that whereas on one hand, the entire country is in a state of deep shock owing to the horrendous tragedy of rape with a girl from Hathras belonging to poor background, On the other hand the U.P. Government has thrown all norms to the wind just to cover up the incident which has caused resentment and anguish amongst the people.
They further said that Rahul Gandhi was going to meet the family members of the rape victim but the U.P. Government in a bid to silence the voices of opposition, manhandled him which has exposed the BJP led Government and brought to the fore it’s true colours.
The pushing and shoving of Rahul Gandhi has happened at the behest of Modi Government which is frustrated due to the feeling of insecurity creeping into the minds of women of the country and Rahul Gandhi who becomes the voice of the women and daughters of this country by sharing their grief, rankles in the eyes of BJP, said the Congress leaders.
Challenging the BJP Government in U.P., the Congress leaders said that Congress is not a party to take such injustices lying down. The truth cannot be hidden nor can it be suppressed which explains why the BJP dispensation has to answer people, added the Congress leaders.
The Congress leaders further divulged that due to the unrest and anger among farming community all across the country because of black Agricultural laws enacted by Modi Government to destroy farmers and the frustrated Union Government owing to three day tour of Punjab by Rahul Gandhi beginning 3rd October, the Modi dispensation wants to stifle the roar of Rahul Gandhi so as to spawn the lives of farmers before its corporate friends.
