Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin in New Delhi.
Adityanath shared photographs of both meetings on X and described his interaction with Modi as a “heartfelt meeting”. He thanked the Prime Minister for his continued guidance and said it inspired him to remain committed to good governance.
“Your guidance inspires me to remain ceaselessly dynamic on the path of good governance. Heartfelt thanks, Prime Minister ji, for granting this valuable time,” Adityanath said in his post.
The Chief Minister also shared details of his meeting with Nabin, describing it as a courtesy visit to the BJP national president.

The meetings assume significance as Uttar Pradesh prepares for its next Assembly elections, with political activity intensifying in the state. The Samajwadi Party (SP), the principal Opposition party, has stepped up its campaign on several issues, including allegations related to the alleged misappropriation of funds associated with the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
The issue has also figured prominently in protests by Opposition parties during the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament. Demonstrations have also been held over alleged examination paper leaks and the student protests that followed.
SP president Akhilesh Yadav, who represents Kannauj in the Lok Sabha, has been among the prominent Opposition leaders raising these issues and has extended support to the Congress during the protests.
The SP and Congress had contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh as allies. The SP won 43 of the state’s 80 Lok Sabha seats, an increase of 37 from its 2019 tally, while the BJP secured 36 seats, 28 fewer than in the previous general election.
The Opposition protests have repeatedly disrupted proceedings in both Houses of Parliament, leading to frequent adjournments, although the government has managed to pass several Bills during the Monsoon Session.
