Punjab’s rich linguistic and cultural heritage received a significant recognition as Mohinder Singh Gill, world-renowned triple jumper and the first athletic star to compete at the 1972 Munich Olympics, took an inspiring step to honor the Mother Language, Culture, and Heritage of Punjab.
In a significant initiative, Olympian Mohinder Singh Gill, highlighted the significant pictorial art visuals, a traditional stole adorned with Punjabi alphabets, and pictorial brochures specifically curated by Punjab’s eminent Author, Heritage Promoter, and Nature Artist Harpreet Sandhu to illustrate the deep-rooted essence of Punjab’s cultural and linguistic legacy.
This initiative aims to create awareness and instill pride in Punjab’s heritage, emphasizing the importance of preserving and promoting the region’s language, traditions, and artistic expressions.
Mohinder Singh Gill while appreciated the dedicated efforts of Harpreet Sandhu towards promoting this significant cause and said that sports and art have significant role in cultural representation and expressed his commitment to fostering a greater appreciation for Punjab’s heritage among younger generations.
