Will struggle till each and every guilty of 1984 Sikh genocide is sent behind bars: Sukhbir Badal

The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) led by Manjinder Singh Sirsa today organized an exhibition on 1984 Sikh genocide at Connought Place in the National Capital in which pictures were displayed how this genocide was executed.

The Shiromani Akali Dal President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and Union Cabinet Minister Mrs.Harsimrat Kaur Badal paid a visit to this exhibition.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal said that though India may be largest democracy of the world but in the county Sikhs are struggling for last 35 years to get justice. He said that reason behind this is that certain powers ruled the country and did everything to ensure that justice is not delivered to Sikhs.

He said that Sikhs are always at the forefront for the country whenever any outer force attacks our country and had made unparallel sacrifices for the country. He said that this exhibition will keep us reminding that we will not sit until we get justice and each and every guilty of the genocide is not put behind bars.

He said that it is most unfortunate that those involved in genocide were honoured by giving them plum posts like Governor and other by the Gandhi family.

Attacking Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh, Mr. Badal said that publishing advertisement on Indira Gandhi by him has hurt Sikh sentiments. He said that no true Sikh can ever forget the victimization by the Congress party.

He said that though each party has its own ideology but our Kaum has to decide on uniting under a single banner. He said that SAD is representative party of the Sikhs and it is second oldest party in the country.

He said that it will start celebrate 100th year of formation from December 13th. He said that those who will go under Congress banner will be seen as traitors.

On the occasion Union Cabinet Minister Mrs. Harsimrat Kaur Badal pictures displayed in today’s exhibition has reminded her of the attack on her family when they had to struggle hard to save their lives.

He said that these pictures had also reminded her how houses of Sikhs, scooter and taxi stands were burning in the capital. She said that after this genocide they had to work in camps.

She said that she is fortunate enough to be part of the government which has ensured sending Sajjan Kumar behind bars and soon Tytler, Kamalnath and others will be sent to jail.

She said that Sikhs had been tole by the Guru Sahiban to not to get afraid of anyone but also not to use force against anyone. She thanked DSGMC and SGPC for tirelessly waging this war for getting justice.

On the occasion Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that during the genocide persons wearing Turbans were searched out and mercilessly killed by the goons of the Congress party. He said that though 35 years have passed but we never surrendered and it is because of this effort of 35 years that guilty like Sajjan Kumar are behind bars.

He said that never anyone has heard in this whole world that a Prime Minister of country Rajiv Gandhi has justified killing of 8000 innocent Sikhs by the leaders of the Congress party by saying that when a big tree falls, earth shivers.

Lashing a scathing attack on Sonia Gandhi, Mr. Sirsa said that today she speaks about intolerance in the country but had forget that Gandhi Family has planned and executed Sikh genocide of 1984 and it had justified mass murder of 8 thousand Sikhs. He said that Nanavati Commision has agreed in its report that murders were executed by Congress goons.

He said that today’s exhibition has also displayed names of 50 Sikh soldiers who were killed in this genocide. He said that it is due to tireless efforts of Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and Harsimrat Kaur who led from the front on this issue and came to roads for getting justice. He said that it is due to Harsimrat Kaur Badal had raised issue in Parliament that the SIT has reopened a case against Kamalnath and he will become first serving CM of the country to be convicted and sent to jail.

Other prominent present on the occasion included Harmeet singh Kalka General Secretary, Harwinder Singh KP, Avtar Singh Hitt President takht Sri Patna Sahib committee, Senior akali leader Kuldip Singh Bhogal, Harinderpal singh, Parmjit Singh Rana, Harjit Singh papal, Sarvjit Singh Vikr, Amarjit Singh Pinki, Jaspreet Singh Vicky Mann besides others.
