The makers of the upcoming seasons of ‘Bigg Boss’ have brought together four of the franchise’s biggest regional hosts — Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal — in a new promotional video ahead of the simultaneous premieres of the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam editions.
The four actors host the respective regional versions of the reality show, all of which are scheduled to premiere on September 6, 2026.
The new promo celebrates the distinct cultures and identities of South India through a light-hearted food mix-up. The four hosts find themselves dealing with dishes associated with one another’s regions, creating a playful situation that highlights the cultural flavour of the four editions.
Weekend interactions, humour, observations and conversations led by the hosts have become a major part of the ‘Bigg Boss’ viewing experience, often generating discussion beyond the reality-show house.
Krishnan Kutty, Head, Entertainment (South), JioStar, said the four hosts have distinct relationships with their respective audiences and that this connection is central to the show’s appeal across regional markets.
“This promo gave us an opportunity to bring Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal together in a way that is fun, rooted in the cultures of the South and true to their personalities,” he said.
He added that seeing the four hosts together was a special moment for fans and reflected the scale of the upcoming simultaneous launches.
The Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam editions of ‘Bigg Boss’ will air from September 6 on JioStar television channels and JioHotstar.
The ‘Bigg Boss’ format is owned by Endemol Shine and Banijay Entertainment.
