Vajra Museum showcasing the saga of Sikh valour inaugurated

Following up the creation of Vajra Veer Vatika in June this year, Residents of Jalandhar City now have another proud land mark to cheer about – Vajra Museum.

The Museum was inaugurated by Lt Gen Arvind Dutta, Corps Commander Vajra Corps alongwith Mrs Simmi Dutta, Zonal President AWWA today.

It now forms a proud part of the Integrated Complex showcasing the saga of Sikh valour in the service of the Nation as well as glorious battles and victories of the Vajra Corps. School Children from Army Public School were also present during the inauguration ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, the Corps Commander highlighted that the newly created museum has attractive galleries and models of military equipment. It will provide impetus, inspiration and encouragement to the youth of Punjab for joining Indian Army. He also reiterated that the museum also showcases the indomitable spirit and capabilities of Vajra Corps – ‘Defenders of Punjab’.

Mrs Simmi Dutta complimented all concerned for the aesthetic and innovatively designed galleries and artefacts which will go a long way in increasing awareness amongst all especially school children of our rich military history.
