Tsunami of anger against Congress Govt., SAD rallies to resume in 1st week of April: Sukhbir Badal

The Shiromani Akali Dal today decided to resume the series of public rallies across the state which had been discontinued because of the party president Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal testing positive for Covid19.

A decision to resume the rallies was taken at a special virtual meeting of the Core Committee of the party chaired by Mr S. S. Badal who told the meeting that he had fully recovered from his ailment and had been advised to resume normal work from March 30th .

Mr. Badal said that he would first be going to Amritsar to offer prayers and thanks giving at Sri Harmandar Sahib.

The Core Committee offered prayers of thanksgiving to the Almighty for the speedy recovery of the president from his ailment.

Mr Harcharn Bains, Principal Advisor to President Shiromani Akali Dal disclosed that The Core Committee was of the view that there is “a tsunami of disappointment, frustration and anger” waiting to erupt all across the state against the Congress government.

From Dalits, farmers to students and from employees and the unemployed youth, every Punjabi was feeling totally cheated by the Congress rulers.

Captain Amaridner Singh had sworn on oath of sacred Gurbani , promising to dreams like total loan waiver to farmers, jobs or unemployment stipend to every youth, free plots and houses to Dalits and the poorer segments, smart phones to youth and totally free education to all girls students in the state.

The employees had been promised pay commission implementation and the youth, interest free loan to youth to start new enterprise and compensation and relief of Rs ten lakhs plus government job to every suicide affected farmer family.

“Four years have passed and this government has not fulfilled even one of its countless promises. On the contrary, it has discontinued several welfare schemes like Suvidha centres in most villages and Rs 1.5 lakh free treatment to every cancer patient in the state.”

Senior party leaders who attended the meeting of the core committee included Mr. Balwinder Singh Bhunder, Jathedar Tota Singh, Shiromani Committee President Bibi Jagir Kaur, Mr. Charanjit Singh Atwal, Prof. Mr. Prem Singh Chandumajra, Mr. Maheshinder Singh Grewal, Dr. Mr. Daljit Singh Cheema, Mr. Jagmeet Singh Brar, Mr. Janmeja Singh Sekhon, Mr. Sikander Singh Maluka, Dr. Mr. Upinderjit Kaur, Mr. Gulzar Singh Ranike, Mr. Surjit Singh Rakhra, Mr. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Mr. Hira Singh Gabria and Mr. Baldev Mann also participated.
