Three Union Ministers resign ahead of Modi Cabinet expansion, reshuffle

New Delhi, July 7, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal, Minister of State Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Minister of State Debasree Chaudhuri have put in their papers ahead of expansion and reshuffle in Council of Ministers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government.

Sources said that the three ministers have been dropped and asked to submit their resignations.

This would be the first expansion of the Council of Ministers since NDA’s return to power in 2019.

Pokhriyal, is a Lok Sabha MP from Uttarakhand’s Haridwara parliamentary seat.

Minister of State with independent charge in the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Santosh Kumar Gangwar has also resigned.

Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Debasree Chaudhuri, a Lok Sabha MP from Raiganj constituency in West Bengal has also been dropped.

It has been learnt, but could not be verified as yet, that Ratan Lal Kataria, a Lok Sabha Member from Ambala in Haryana is also being dropped.
