Punjabi Ekta Party president and former leader of opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Sukhpal Singh Khaira, today announced to withdraw his resignation as MLA.
Confirming the development, Khaira said he would be divulging the reasons for the same today itself.
It is pertinent to mention here, Khaira, the AAP MLA from Bholath constituency had resigned from membership of Vidhan Sabha following his differences with AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal, national and state leadership of Aam Aadmi Party.
He had then formed Punjabi Ekta Party and led Punjab Democratic Alliance. He had also unsuccessfully fought Parliamentary Election from Bathinda constituency.
Khaira had submitted his resignation as MLA to Punjab Speaker Rana KP Singh in April, 2019 which was still lying pending with the Speaker. He has now withdrawn the same.
