Chandigarh, September 28, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
Bholath MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira, who had joined Congress in the presence of former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, today urged Navjot Singh Sidhu to reconsider his resignation in the larger interest of Punjab.

Khaira also urged Congress’ high command to flag issues raised by him and find their resolution.

In a statement released here today, Sukhpal Singh Khaira made a fervent appeal to Navjot Singh Sidhu to reconsider his resignation and also appealed to the party high command not to accept his resignation and instead flag issues raised by him during the last few days and find
their redressal.

Khaira said since Punjab was heading for elections in the next 4-5 months, it was highly imperative to find an amicable solution to the crisis emanating from the deadlock between the party high command and Navjot Singh Sidhu.

Khaira said that even if the party had to take back a few decisions to address the concerns raised by Navjot Singh Sidhu, it will only strengthen the Congress party in Punjab. The Congress MLA also urged those leaders/officers to voluntarily come forward and offer their resignations to defuse the current crisis instead of testing the patience of either the party high command or Navjot Sidhu.

Khaira said he was hopeful that the party high command and Navjot Singh Sidhu would amicably resolve their issues. He said similarly those in the center of controversies would also voluntarily step down to strengthen the party and government.
