Sukhbir Badal sounding more of a dera premi than SAD president: Sukhjinder Randhawa

Chandigarh, July 30, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

The Senior Congress leader and Cabinet Minister, Punjab, S. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has strongly reacted to the statement of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal on the issue of closure report filed by the CBI in the sacrilege case. The Congress leader said that Sukhbir Singh Badal is sounding more like a dera premi rather than the SAD President.

He also said that SAD President would do well to make efforts to ensure that punishments are meted out to the sacrilege accused and the killers of innocent Sikhs instead of caring for dera premis.

In a press communiqué here today, S. Randhawa said that Sukhbir Singh Badal is speaking in favour of the dera premis in such a way as if SAD has an alliance with the dera. The Congress leader also added that SAD President is enacting a new drama of speaking in favour of the dera premis after the earlier drama of opposing the closure report filed by the CBI.

He said that actually the SAD and ally BJP at the centre don’t want to see the perpetrators of the sacrilege incidents because they have an eye on the votes of the dera premis owing to the fast approaching Haryana Vidhan Sabha elections.

Giving a terse reply to the allegations of SAD President on the Punjab Government probe as being politically motivated to garner votes, S. Randhawa asked the SAD President to first look into his own deeds.

He elaborated that Congress Party is making every effort to probe the firing on innocent Sikhs besides the sacrilege incidents whereas the SAD in order to garner votes of the dera premis got perpetrated the sacrilege incidents thus insulting the Sikh sentiments and not only this but also fired upon the Sikhs demanding justice and in the process surpassed even General Dyer.
