Sub Junior Men’s National Hockey Championship: Punjab entered quarter finals

Punjab entered the quarter finals the 12th Hockey India men’s Sub Junior National Hockey Championship being played at Goa today.

According to Olympian Balwinder Singh Shammi, Member, Hockey Punjab Ad Hoc Committee duly constituted by the Hockey India after suspension of Hockey Punjab that today in their second league match Punjab defeated Delhi by 8-0 to confirm their quarter finals berth in championship.

The winners were leading by 3-0 at half time. The scorer for the winners were Japneet, Harpreet Singh, Harpreet Singh, Karan Singh, Pritpal Singh, Rohan Bhushan, Parbhdeep Singh Manpreet Singh. Earlier, in other league match, Punjab also defeated Puducherry by 25-0.
