Stop harassing Punjabis, we have never bowed, will not bow down: Brinder Dhillon tells Modi

Chandigarh, September 18, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)

Reacting sharply on the Modi govt’s action of harassing farmers with anti-farmer ordinances, the president of Punjab Youth Congress Brinder Singh Dhillon on Friday warned Modi led SAD-BJP govt to abstain from ruing the farming sector in the country.

In a press statement issued from the party headquarters, Dhillon said if the centre govt thinks that they can curb the voice of Punjabi with power then they are misguided as Punjabis are known for attaining rights by hook or by crook. The govt. must take back the anti-farmers act anticipating the nationwide anger of the farmers.

Dhillon said that people of Punjab have rejected SAD-BJP alliance in Lok Sabha elections when Modi had grabbed majority in other states with his hollow promises.

“The history shows that Punjabis have compromises with their rights and have always protected the truth so once again Modi govt. will bite the dust if they try to suppress the public opinion on farm ordinances. He suggested Modi to listen to the agitating farmers and take back the black ordinance.

Requesting youth and farmers of the state to raise a combined voice against the ordinances, Dhillon invited all Punjabis to participate in the ‘Kisan Ros March’ tractor rally to be organized by Punjab Youth Congress on September 20 at Dera Bassi.

He repeated that Congress will never allow Modi govt. to snatch the rights of farmers to benefit big houses being run by friends of Modi.
