The state-level dharna on failures of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) government at centre would be held at Ludhiana on November 15, 2019. Ludhiana MP Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu, Punjab Cabinet Minister Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu, District Congress Committee (Urban) President Mr Ashwani Sharma, District Youth Congress president Mr Rajiv Raja, besides other senior Congress leaders today inspected the site where the Dharna would be held on November 15.
MP Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu informed that this dharna would be organised outside the District Administrative Complex, Ludhiana, at 10 am on November 15, 2019. He informed that this protest would be attended by Senior Congress leaders namely AICC Incharge of Punjab Mrs Asha Kumari, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Mr Sunil Jakhar, besides others.
He informed that the people of India are facing a lot of problems created by the failures of the present BJP led government at centre. “Our economy is becoming bearish day by day, unable to generate employment to the people, besides the prices of essential commodities are sky rocketing.
The unemployment rate is at 8.1% (record 45 year high), the unprecedented economic slowdown, rise in prices of essential commodities, collapse of the banking system, omnipresent farm distress, loss of jobs both in government as well as private sector, besides several other issues are causing harm to our country,” MP Mr Bittu said.
Cabinet Minister Mr Bharat Bhushan Ashu urged all the Congressmen of the state to attend this dharna in large numbers. He said that this protest would showcase as to which extent the residents are fed up with the policies of the BJP government. He stated that a record number of congressmen would participate in this dharna.
