Sons of Carpenter, Govt. teacher crack NEET, both students of Modern Institute owned by MBD Group

Two students of MBD Group coaching centre, Modern Institute have cleared NEET examination. Modern Institute started its operations in the city on Saturday, 10 March 2018. Here students are taught to think analytically and develop a systematic approach to problem-solving which is quite essential for JEE, NEET, JIPMER, AIIMS and other Medical and Engineering Entrance Examinations. The classroom courses of Modern Institute are designed specifically for grooming and shaping students’ innate intelligence and elevating them to the highest levels of academic excellence.

19 years old son of a carpenter from Jalandhar cleared National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) this year. The 41-year- old carpenter Roshan Lal is the resident of Raipur Kalan village of Jalandhar. His son, Sandeep Kumar has been preparing for this exam for the last one year in Modern Institue, Jalandhar. He used to commute around 30 kms daily through public transport to reach coaching institute.

The journey, however, wasn’t easy for the family as Roshan Lal had to face many financial hurdles to provide for the best possible education to his kid by working for 11 to 12 hours daily.

The carpenter told that his son had to study for 12 to 14 hours a day and he tried his level best that his son gets good atmosphere at home. His elder son is pursing civil engineering and younger daughter is pursuing B.Sc(Medical). Even when he got news of his son clearing the exam, the whole family was so elated that they decided to pay obeisance to almighty for his blessings and they have already started calling Sandeep a doctor.

Sandeep Kumar is elated about getting MBBS seat and said his top priority is that after completing his education he will support his father financially so that his father can have his own shop and can do his business. He said his dream that his sister should get best education so she can become teacher.

Sandeep said contesting with around 15 lakhs students for securing job was not an easy task. He scored category rank of 12354 in NEET and is now eyeing a seat in a medical college to pursue his dreams. His favorite subject is biology.

Another student, 19 years Dildeep Singh resident of Bhikhowal village in Hoshiarpur district and the son of a government school teacher and student of Modern Institute, Jalandhar has scored category rank of 6100 in NEET exam. His proud father Lukhwinder Singh said that they are now waiting for counseling to start so they can secure MBBS seat for their son.

Dildeep Singh said his role models are his two elder sisters, one has done B. Tech engineering and another is purusing MVSC(pathology).

Proud father Lakhiwnder Singh said that fees is rampantly increasing in colleges and due to his government job even he finds it difficult to manage finances for education. He said that despite being only earning hand in the family, he managed to educate his daughters and sons.

Dildeep Singh said apart from coaching, his mentors guided him well and he used to study 10 to 12 hours day for clearing NEET exam. He prepared for two years and this year he tasted success. His said both his elder sisters are role models. Dildeep Singh said that in their area there is dearth of MBBS doctors and his dream in to serve the people of their area as medical expenses are skyrocketing.

He said his mentors at Modern institute have helped him to guide him regarding his future prospect. He said best part of Modern Institute is that fees is economical compared to other coaching institutes in the region.
