Sonia encouraging anti-nationals in Congress, party trying to brush pro-Pak links under carpet: Tarun Chugh

Chandigarh, August 24, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today said that the Congress is trying to hide its links with the Pakistan ISI by not explaining the conduct of advisors of the Punjab PCC president Navjot Singh Sidhu.

In a statement here today Chugh said the entire drama of Congress ministers and MLAs at the residence of Cabinet Minister Tripat Bajwa was an eyewash so that people of Punjab stop discussing the Congress’s links with the Pakistan top notches.

He said it has been a long-drawn internal conflict of the Congress where leaders led by Sidhu have been baying for Chief Minister Amarinder Singh’s blood. He said when today the Congress rebels led by Sidhu decided to approach the party high command for the removal of the chief minister it was a clear attempt to divert people’s attention from the Congress leaders “fond connection” with the Pakistan authorities.

Chugh also lambasted Navjot Sidhu for his “crude ambition” to come to power by dethroning Amarinder Singh. He said at the drop of hat Sidhu would either go to the party high command or ask his stooges in the Punjab Congress to take up his cause in Delhi.

“The power-hungry Congress leaders have spelt doom for the state and its economy besides threatening the national security. The people of Punjab would give their reply to it by throwing the Congress out of power in the next Assembly elections”, Chugh said.

He questioned AICC president Sonia Gandhi’s silence on the entire matter and said there were clear indications that pro-Pakistan elements in the Congress enjoyed her support and she was all in favour of it.
