Ramgarhia Gurdwara Slough honoured Jathedar Paramjit Singh Raipur with a siropa sahib, presented by Gurdwara President Sital Singh Lall and former president Councillor Harjinder Singh Gahir. They both thanked Jathedar Raipur, who is SGPC member for Adampur (Jalandhar) and the former Chairman of Jalandhar Improvement Trust, for his service to the Sikh and wider community.
He is here on a short visit to the UK and informed the sangat (congregation) about his recent religious activities in the Punjab.
Within his speech, he informed everyone about the preparations for the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji and requested them to come if possible to join in the celebrations.
He also thanked the local community for electing his nephew Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi to serve as the Member of Parliament for Slough.
