Sirsa urges Uddhav Thackeray to arrest DIG for molesting minor Sikh girl

The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committeee (DSGMC) President Mr.Manjinder Singh Sirsa has urged the Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to issue orders for arrest of DIG Nishikant More who has molested a minor Sikh girl.

In a statement issued here today, Mr. Sirsa said that it is shocking that repeated molestation of the minor girl has forced her to think of committing suicide who has left a note regarding committing suicide before leaving her home. He said that men who do not respect girls have no right to remain in office.

Mr. Sirsa said that the driver who has threatened the family to face dire consequences in name of Chief Minister should also be arrested immediately. He also urged the CM to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to thoroughly probe the matter. He said that though case has been registered against the DIG but he has not been arrested yet and he is attempting to get pre arrest bail.

The DSGMC President said that he had earlier too appealed the government to act against the DIG who has molested the girl on her birthday and later bullied her. He said that repeated attempts of DIG to molest her has forced her to commit suicide. He said that this case has come at a time when four guilty of raping nirbhaya are set to be hanged on January 22.

He said that these men who have scant regard for modesty of girls should be taught a lesson of lifetime. He said that case of this girl also needs to be dealt with strict hand and guilty DIG and drivers should be handed over exemplary punishments so that no other could dare to harass girls.
