In election of Punjabi Bagh Club panel supported by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Manjinder Singh Sirsa has registered clean sweep victory defeating panel supported by Parmjit Singh Sarna and his family.
Election results were declared late yesterday. Gurinderpal Singh Raju was elected President, CA NK Goel Senior Vice President, Satish Jindal General Secretary, Pankaj Arora as Treasurer, Kunal Bansal and Rajni Kant Sahni both Vice Presidents, Chittranjan Pal Singh and Joginder Singh Gahlot both Secretaries, Daljit Singh Bindra and Satinder Pal Malhotra both Joint Secretaries.
Like other office bearers, in Managing Committee all members supported by Manjinder Singh Sirsa sweeped all seats. Those who have been elected included Arushi Ahuja, Ashok Goel, Deepak Kapoor, Jagmohan Sehgal, Kuldeep Singh Channa, Kumud Khanna, Manbir Singh Sahni, Rajneesh Malik, Sahib Chand Singhal, Sanjeev Sehgal and Som Nath Chaudary have been declared winners.
It is worth mentioning here that election to this prestigious club was virtually an election between Sirsa on one side and Sarna on the other. In this posh area of the Capital Manjinder Singh Sirsa had defeated Parmjit Singh Sarna in the DSGMC elections.
After that period now this was an indirect fight between both of them in which Sirsa group sweeped election to the club defeating the group supported by Parmjit Singh Sarna and his family.
It is also worth mentioning here that family members of Sarna were seen actively working during the polling in favour of their group but their efforts proved futile as the area residents preferred group supported by Sirsa.
