Chandigarh, January 3, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)

The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa today strongly condemned attack on Gurudwara Sri Nankana Sahib by a mob led by one Mohammad Hassan and said that the community will oppose tooth and nail all attempts to threaten Sikhs in Pakistan.

In a statement released here today, Mr. Sirsa said that Mohammad Hassan who had abducted Jagjit Kaur daughter of Granthi of Gurudwara Sri Nankana Sahib, today led a mob who attacked Gurudwara Sri Nankana Sahib.

This mob tried to crash open gate of Gurudwara Sahib. He said that before this attack this man Hassan addressed that gathering and declared that they will not allow even one Sikh to reside in Sri Nankana Sahib and will rename the holy city as Ghulam Ali Mustafa.

Mr. Sirsa said that this shocking incident and threats issued to the community will not be tolerated at all by the community which is having presence in large number of countries.

He said that abductor of Jagjit Kaur is doing all this only to take revenge from the community who had opposed his action of abduction, conversion and later marrying Jagjit Kaur.

He said that the community cannot remain a mute spectator to such will attempts by goons like Hassan and will take every step required to safeguard minorities in Pakitsan.

The DSGMC President urged the Pakistan PM Imran Khan to act fast in the matter and take strongest possible action against goons like Mohammad Hassan who are openly threatening minorities in the country.

He said that incidents like these will not only tarnish image of his country before that world but he will find it difficult to answer the world about all this is happening in Pakistan.

He said that after the Citizenship Amendement Act has been enacted in India, attacks on minorities in Pakistan have gained momentum and also on daily basis abduction of minor girls are taking place besides using other methods to terrorize minority community members.

He said that this action will prove to be too costly for it as the Sikh community world wide will not allow it to play with the sentiments of the community.

He said that announcement to rename the holy community should be dealt with a strong hand and severe punishment should be handed over to Hassan who has declared this unholy attempt to rename cities which are associated with the Sikh Guru Sahiban.

The DSGMC President said that we will take up the matter with the United Nations and also launch a campaign worldwide to unmask the reality of Imran Khan.

He said that this movement will further alienate the Muslim nation from the world community which will force it to act fast to save the minorities or face backlash worldwide.

Mr. Sirsa urged the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi to take strong notice of the incident occurred today at Sri Nankana Sahib, whose video is getting viral, and take up the matter with the Pakistan government and world community.
