Singla hands over Appointment Letters to 80 appointed in PWD on compassionate grounds

Chandigarh, July 9, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

Clearing the entire backlog of cases pertaining to providing jobs on compassionate grounds to the legal heirs of the employees of Public Works Department who died in harness, Mr. Vijay Inder Singla, PWD Minister Punjab handed over appointment letters to eighty beneficiaries.

The Minister exhorted the beneficiaries to work with utmost dedication and to have humanitarian approach while dealing with public.

He said that State Government has an empathy with the dependant family members of the employees who died in service leaving the family members without any sustainable means of livelihood. So, all the departments are clearing on priority the backlog of such cases, if any.

The beneficiaries inducted on various posts include 10 in Group C and 70 in Group D. Six candidates have been recruited as clerks, three as junior draftsmen, one as road inspector, 59 sewadars, 5 baildars,2 chowkidars,3 sweepers and 1 gardener.
