Sikhs have always come to to help humanity in crisis, says Australian High Commissioner to India

Whenever world is in crisis Sikh community comes out to help humanity with practical decisions. This was stated by Barry O Farrell Australian High Commissioner to India.

Interacting with media during his visit to Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib and Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) office here today, Barry O Farrell said that Sikhs are contributing a lot in Australia and what West Australia government contributed to DSGMC for hospital was only a small token of love in return.

He said that whenever there is a crisis whether in Australia or India or anywhere, members of Sikh community come out with practical solutions.

He said that decision to establish hospital to save future generations is a great decision and he congratulates Sikh community leadership for this decision. He also lauded leadership of Sikh community for guiding community to provide benefits to people worldwide specially in Australia. He also lauded efforts of DSGMC for serving humanity.

Speaking on the occasion, the DSGMC President Mr. Manjinder Sirsa thanked Australia government, Perth Premier Mark McGowan, Minister Tony Buti and Devraj Singh President Sikh Association, Gurdwara Sahib Canning vale Perth and Sikh Sangat of Australia.

He said that contribution made by 3 lakh dollor by the Australia government itself speaks about work being done by the DSGMC team. He said that we are thankful to honourable Premier and people of Australia for coming forward and helping DSGMC with such a huge contribution. He said entire community worldwide is thankful to Australia.

He said that DSGMC is thankful to Mr. Barry O Farrell for paying a visit to DSGMC office and thankful to Mr. Farrell for praising Sikhs residing in Australia for recognizing their contribution in their country. Mr. Farrell was honoured by the DSGMC on the occasion.

Mr. Sirsa also disclosed that DSGMC has requested Mr. Farrell to attend inauguration ceremony of 125 bedded hospital with COVID facilities.

On the occasion Mr. Harmeet Singh Kalka General Secretary, Ranjit Kaur Vice President, Harwinder Singh KP Joint Secretary and other office bearers of the DSGMC were also present.
