Sikh leader writes to Modi, Imran against proposal to hoist National Flags on Kartarpur Corridor

Bir Devinder Singh PC 31Oct19Jalandhar, Oct 31, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)
Bir Devinder Singh, a Sikh leader, a former MLA and former Deputy Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha has raised questions on what he termed ‘objectionable installation’ of flagpoles to hoist National Flags on Kartarpur Corridor.

In two separate letters written to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, Singh said, the National Flags on the corridor of faith at Kartarpur Sahib won’t reflect the philosophy of universal brotherhood envisioned by Guru Nanak Dev ji.

Releasing the copies of letters here at a specially convened press conference, Bir Devinder Singh appealed to Prime Ministers of both the countries to review their decision and take the same back keeping in view the Sikh sentiments.
