In his address of Dinanagar rally Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab President and MP Bhagwant Mann raised the financial issues of people of Punjab. He pointed out that the properties and palaces of political leaders are expanding day by day whereas the condition of people’s houses is deteriorating.
Impressing people with his witticism Mann said, “Current government hasn’t delivered on any of its promises then how the exchequer of Punjab got empty and if it is empty then why call it exchequer in the first place, it is Peepa (empty tin).”
Addressing a large gathering here on Wednesday AAP leader again slammed Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal Badal and said, “They haven’t done anything in 44 years, and they are not going to do anything in the next five years either. These parties (Cong and SAD) don’t have any agenda or development plans but they’re shamelessly asking for one more chance to plunder Punjab again.”
He also questioned Harsimrat Badal who listed 23 kgs of gold in his last election nomination form, that where does this much property, money and gold come from? He said that his property has been diminishing since the day he has joined the politics. How come all these leaders are able to multiply their assets is beyond him.
Taking a dig at Navjot Singh Sidhu, Mann said, “He is state President of his party as I am. He’s MLA elected by the people and I’m MP elected by the people. Then why he is running from a debate with me? If he wants to have a debate with our National Convener then invite Sonia Gandhi to sit against Kejriwal.”
He further added that congress government is like a circus that is insulting the mandate of people. America is planning a colony on Mars and here we are still struck in sewage. He added that we have stood by traditional parties and leaders so many times, yet they have never returned the favor by making a pro-people law or in form of grant or development projects.
He added that AAP is the only party that is talking about development issues like schools, hospitals, employment and the future of our children. He said that AAP will reform the education system and employ the youth of Punjab to eradicate poverty in the state.He encouraged people to vote for Aam Aadmi Party in upcoming election so that they can get rid of vicious cycle of SAD, Congress and Captain.
