Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) national spokesperson and MLA(Rajendra Nagar) and co-incharge of Punjab affairs Raghav Chadha claimed that the Congress party will not field Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi as its chief ministerial candidate in 2022, as it was current CM himself who made it clear yesterday.
Chadha said that the Congress party betrayed the Ravidassia brotherhood of Punjab by not declaring Charanjit Singh Channi as the Chief Minister in 2022, due to which Ravidassia brotherhood would definitely take revenge on the Congress party in the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections.
In a video statement released from Delhi on Friday, AAP MLA Raghav Chadha has accused the Congress party of dividing the society for votes. He said that the Congress party had made Charanjit Singh Channi the chief minister for only three month so that the votes of Ravidassia brotherhood can be obtained, but it is never the intention and policy of the Congress that the person of Ravidassia brotherhood should be made the Chief Minister of Punjab for a tenure five years.
Chadha alleged that the Congress party had made a person from the SC category the chief minister for some time in Maharashtra too, to garner votes. The same is now going to be done by the Congress party in Punjab, because the policy of the Congress has always been to use the SC brotherhood as a vote bank. He said that there is a lot of anger in the Ravidasia brotherhood for not declaring Charanjit Singh Channi as the Chief Minister in the 2022 elections and the brotherhood is thinking of taking revenge on the Congress.
Raghav Chadha claimed that Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi is aware that the Congress party is not making him the Chief Minister in Punjab again in 2022, so Channi Sahab is making announcements one after the other when he knows that he will never fulfill these announcements.
The AAP leader said that the big question is, who will the Congress party present as the Chief Minister candidate? Will Navjot Singh Sidhu or Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa or Pratap Singh Bajwa be made the Chief Minister? Therefore the people of Punjab should beware of the Congress party.
