Chandigarh, May 18, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)
Punjab unit chief of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and sitting MP from Sangrur, Bhagwant Mann said that Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu had put his stamp on the raging allegations of Badal-Captain mutual bonhomie that AAP had been leveling since Captain govt assumed power in the state, quoting Sidhu’s outpourings at election meeting in Bathinda on Friday. He quoted Sidhu as saying that both were in league with each other out to protect each others’ personal and political interests.
In a statement issued from party headquarters in Chandigarh on Saturday, Mann said that even though the people of the state were privy to the ‘friendly’ match being played between both the families, stating that the views expressed by none other than a senior Cabinet Minister in the ruling Captain Amrinder Singh Government was significant that ratified the AAP’s allegations.
The AAP leader said that had there been no friendly feelings between the two prominent political clans, umpteen cases of corruption against the Badals would not have been shelved nor would Captain had received a clean chin in the multi-crore Amritsar and Ludhiana City Centre.
Castigating Captain Amarinder Singh, Mann further said that had he been a tad serious about the allegations being leveled by the party, persons like Bikram Singh Majithia whose name had prominently figured among drug mafia would have been roaming free nor those behind the sacrilegious and firing incidents would got scot free till the time.
Mann demanded that Captain Amarinder Singh should tender his resignation on moral grounds instead of putting across his reasoning in the incidents after the serious allegations leveled by his own cabinet colleague.
The Sangrur MP further added that may Captain or the courts give punishment to those behind the desecration and firing incidents at Behbal Kalan – Kotkapura, the ‘peoples’ court’ had decided to punish them on May 19 and the quantum of punishment would be announced on May 23”, he said.
