Senior Bharatiya Janta Party leader Mr Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina today joined issue with Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Navjot Singh Sidhu for his `misleading’ statements on the serious issue of breach in PM security. Calling him `Master Misleader’, Mr. Chhina said the fact is that the Congress government not only blatantly failed to secure Prime Minister but even conspired to put his security to the grave threat.
In a hard hitting statement issued here, Mr Chhina sought the resignation of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and whole of his Cabinet for the `security breach’. “This government has no moral or legal ground to stay in saddle. There is a total breakage of law and order in Punjab. When PM is not secure who else will be secure under present government”, he asked.
He termed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as protector of Punjab and Punjabiat. “The Punjabi culture and harmony is respected all over. PM has special respect for the brave Punjabis and Sikhs. The immature leadership of the Congress including Sidhu and Channi are on the other hand putting the Punjab and Punjabiat to the greatest risk”, he said adding that PM was to announce development works to the tune of hundreds of crores but due to the narrow-mindedness of Congress government, the Punjab have lost a golden opportunity to usher in new chapter of prosperity.
He said Sidhu, to please the Congress high command, has put Punjab’s interests to the jeopardy and to divert the intention of the public, he is issuing misleading statements but the people are wise enough to understand what and who conspired to put PM to the risk. , you are changing statements every day. Own the responsibility and take action against the erring officials.
He asked Sidhu to stop issuing `contradictory’ statements in the media just to please Gandhi family, knowing little that in this drive he is harming the interests of Punjab and Punjabiat.
