Actor Sheezan Khan has opened up about filming an emotionally charged sequence for the television show ‘Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan’, revealing that the intensity of the scene left him and co-star Amandeep Sidhu in tears.
Sheezan, who plays Siddhu in the show, said his character has consistently stood by Sneha despite opposition from his mother. However, with his sister Madhu fighting for her life and Durgawati blaming Sneha for her condition, Siddhu finds himself facing a difficult emotional dilemma.
“Siddhu has always been sure of one thing, that no matter what, he will never leave Sneha, and he has even gone against his mother several times to stand by her. But this time, with his sister battling for her life and Durgawati going through an emotional turmoil while believing Sneha is responsible for Madhu’s condition, Siddhu finds himself conflicted,” Sheezan told IANS.
The actor said the emotions spilled over during filming.
“While shooting the said scenes, Amandeep and I actually broke down, and even our DOP told us he was crying while filming the scene,” he said.
Sheezan also expressed curiosity about how Siddhu will respond to the situation — whether he will accept his mother’s demand and let Sneha go or find a way to preserve their relationship.
Amandeep, who plays Sneha, said her character chooses not to defend herself despite knowing that she is not responsible for Madhu’s condition. She explained that Sneha understands the pain being experienced by Durgawati as a mother and Siddhu as a brother and therefore considers proving her innocence less important.
“When Durgawati asks her to leave, she quietly accepts her decision and even makes Siddhu understand her perspective,” Amandeep said.
She added that the latest track would be an emotional departure from the lighter moments recently seen between Sneha and Siddhu, popularly known as ‘SneDhu’ among fans.
‘Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan’ stars Amandeep Sidhu as Sneha and Sheezan Khan as Siddhu. In the latest promo, Madhu, played by Priya Bhardwaj, suffers a major accident, prompting Durgawati, portrayed by Indira Krishna, to hold Sneha responsible.
As tensions escalate, Durgawati asks Sneha to leave the house and stay away from Siddhu permanently. She also instructs Siddhu to sever his ties with Sneha.
