The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) today dispatched 250 holy saroops (scriptures) of Sri Guru Granth Sahib after ardas (prayer) in a special bus following the demands from the Gurdwara Committees of Gujarat and Rajasthan states. Also, the Gurdwara Committees of Rajasthan had also raised the demand for holy saroops. The holy saroops have been dispatched on the basis of the reports of pracharaks (preachers) of SGPC’s Dharam Prachar Committee as per the demands received.”

“In these events, different Gurdwara Committees of Gujarat will be handed over the holy saroops as per Maryada. Similarly, in Rajasthan, the holy saroops will be handed over as per Maryada to different Gurdwara Committees under the supervision of the pracharaks of Dharam Prachar Committee and the Management Committee of Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Sahib, Buddha Jauhar, Sri Ganganagar”, said S. Surjit Singh Bhitewad.
