Amritsar, September 16, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Bibi Jagir Kaur has congratulated S. Amir Singh on becoming the President of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC).

She said that there are many Gurdwara Sahibs having historical significance for Sikhs in Pakistan which are being maintained and managed by PSGPC. These also include Gurdwara Janam Asthan at Sri Nankana Sahib, with which the religious sentiments of Sikh Sangat (community) from across the world are connected.

“The management of these historical shrines is a big responsibility of the President of Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and the Guru Sahib has given this opportunity to S. Amir Singh to work at this position”, said Bibi Jagir Kaur.

SGPC President hoped that in addition to managing the Gurdwara Sahibs in accordance with the Panthic Maryda (code of conduct), S. Amir Singh will continue to take a serious approach to the issues of Sikh minorities living in Pakistan and serve as per the sentiments of the Sikh community across the world.

SGPC President also congratulated S. Vikash Singh on his appointment as General Secretary of PSGPC.

She said that SGPC, a representative body of the Sikh community, will continue to extend all possible cooperation and support for the maintenance and management of historical Gurdwara Sahibs in Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Bibi Jagir Kaur also lauded the services rendered by S. Satwant Singh, former President of PSGPC.
