SGPC Chief Harjinder Singh Dhami congratulates Simranjit Singh Mann on his victory in Sangrur

Amritsar, June 26, 2022 (Yes Punjab News)
Congratulating S. Simranjit Singh Mann on his victory in Sangrur Parliamentary by poll, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) President Advocate S. Harjinder Singh hoped that he will raise Sikh issues in the Parliament.

S. Harjinder Singh said that the people of Sangrur expressed confidence in S. Simranjit Singh Mann, which further enhances his responsibility.

SGPC President said that it is common responsibility of all the members of Parliament (MPs) of Punjab to raise their voice for the resolution of issues pertaining to Punjab and especially the Sikh community, about which different governments of the country have remained averse for a long time.

He said that at present the issue of release of Bandi Singhs (Sikhs political prisoners) is very important as the governments are intentionally not releasing the Sikh prisoners who completed their sentences despite the official announcement. He said this injustice is a mockery of India’s democracy, so MPs should move towards this issue with collective efforts.
