The Nawanshahr SSP, Alka Meena, in a worthemulating gesture, has felicitated the two years old boy, whose first test report of COVID 19 has been diagnosed as negative. The little COVID fighter, is grandson of Baba Baldev Singh, first victim of the dreaded epidemic in Punjab.
He along with his family members has been kept in isolation here at the local civil hospital. Yesterday, he completed his two years and today he has received suitable birthday gift of negative report of COVID 19.
DSP Deepika Singh, who is also the Nodal Officer ,COVID 19 Activities from district police, presented the birthday cake and other gifts to his mother. But the mother accepted all the gifts except birthday cake due to death of her father in law Baldev Singh and sens it to the medical staff for their consumption.
The hospital staff cuts the cake to celebrate the full recovery of one patient out of the total 18 as well as 7 negative reports in the first instance.
SMO, Dr. Harvinder Singh, expressed gratitude towards the district police for the noble gesture as well as making dedicated efforts to enforce the curfew guidelines and providing helping hand to the underprivileged section of the society.
