Sahota replaced; Punjab Govt appoints Siddharth Chattopadhyaya as DGP

Chandigarh, December 17, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
The Punjab Government has removed Iqbal Preet Singh Sahota as Acting DGP.

He will now be replaced by Siddharth Chattopadhyaya IPS, DGP, PSPCL, Patiala.

According to an order issued in this respect, Chattopadhyaya shall look after the work of Director General of Police, Punjab (HoPF) in addition to his present duties until a fresh appointment is made to the post of Director General of Police, Punjab (HoPF) as per prescribed procedure.

The order comes into force with immediate effect.

Chattopadhyaya will continue to work as DGP till a DGP is chosen from the panel yet to be approved by Union Govt.Siddharth Chattopadhyaya as DGP Order
