SAD’s outcry on CBI closure report : Akalis have double tounge and twin face says Dal Khalsa

Hoshiarpur, July 18, 2019 (Yes Punjab News)

In a scathing attack on Akali Dal’s history of somersaults in recent times, the Dal Khalsa has observed that they (Akalis) speak for Panth when out of power and their conduct is anti-Panth when in power.

In other words, for them Panth is in danger when they are out of power and the same Panth comes out of danger the moment Akalis come in power.

Akalis were in power when Bargarhi Sacrilege was committed. They handed over the probe to SIT, constituted by them.

When SIT failed to deliver and arrest the culprit, under public pressure and to save their own skin, Akalis handed over the probe to the CBI, said party spokesman KANWAR Pal Singh, while reacting to SAD’s core committee decision to challenge CBI closure report on Bargarhi Sacrilege incident.

Now with the CBI presenting closure report before the court, the status of the Sacrilege case is back to square one i.e. unresolved, said Dal khalsa Activist.

Justice still eludes the Sikhs not just in this case but many others. In public perception Gurmeet Ram Rahim is culprit and he is behind bars but in some other cases. Ex-DGP Saini, who is considered to be responsible for Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura firing incidents has gone scot-free despite all efforts by SIT key member Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh to bring him to book.

Akalis, who are an Alliance partner with BJP at Centre (under who’s command CBI operates) did nothing in those years to get justice and expose the conspiracy and conspirators. Now, out of power, they are desperate to do everything to see that none of the conspirator escapes the so-called long arm of the law.

Taking a dig at Akali Dal’s doublespeak, he said the people of Punjab were continuously suffering due to Akali Govt’s inept handling of the situation pre and post Bargarhi Sacrilege and Behbal Kalan firing and their vested interests in defending the guilty cops.

It was the Akali Govt with Parkash Singh Badal as CM that entered into tactical understanding with Haryana Govt to dig the SYL canal way back in late 70’s. Once out of power in 1982, they changed their track and launched Morcha against the Centre’s move.

During Rajiv-Longowal accord, Akalis again committed to dig the canal. It was Akali Govt under SS Barnala in mid 80’s that started digging canal. The work on SYL came to standstill after militants associated with Babbar Khalsa carried out attack gunning down top engineers of the SYL.
